Baguio Trip 2014 Itinerary and Guide (Things to do, Where to eat, Where to go etc.)

Here I present you our rainy, foggy and chilly Baguio trip sample itinerary 'cause we owned it in our own way. Soon, I shall present to you more of Baguio... soon. :))

(AND THAT SOON IS NOW. HAHA. DAMING ALAM. BAGUIO TRIP OCTOBER 2015 LINK: HERE.)

I finally got to finish this year's series of Baguio posts because of today's holiday (and I've nothing to do but stay at home. Thanks to financial constraints that today is entirely a rest day): Eid-al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). Fyi, it is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to follow God's command to sacrifice his only son.

This is the fourth time that I've gone to the "Summer Capital of the Philippines" but since my last was more than a decade ago, it felt like this trip was my first time going there. What is in Baguio? Where to go in Baguio? What are the things to do in Baguio?

It kept on raining in the afternoon and early evening so we had no choice but to scrap some outdoor plans. But then sometimes, while walking along the roads of Baguio City, I thought to myself that I like it there more during the rainy season. hahahahaha. Why? Because fog. Albeit some cancelled plans, it was so amazing to see a thick layer of fog blanketing everything in sight. I know that it can be dangerous especially for drivers and it can feel eerie but it was very relaxing and fascinating for me. The fog reminded me of Genting Highlands in Malaysia only better. Ohh, simple joys.

EXPENSES:
NOTE: A three days and two nights Baguio City tour is possible with less than P 3,500.00 per person budget.

P 545.00
One-way bus ticket from Cubao Terminal of Dagupan Bus Company
Travel Time: More or less 6 hours

P 300.00
Per person rate at Tuvera Transient House in DPS Area (with private bathroom)

P 600.00 (Rainy Season Promo)
Per person rate at Veniz Hotel with free breakfast buffet

P 30.00 and P 2.50
Current taxi flag down rate in Baguio and rate for every additional x meters.
Of the three days that we stayed there, we only rode a jeepney twice and the other was because the taxi driver we (Okay, I!) made pa-cute to in hopes that he'll take pity and drive us back to our hotel didn't even bother to prioritize business over his friends. Aside from riding a taxi, we walked around a lot which makes perfect sense because we ate a lot and it was actually fun walking around there. While taxis are the reason why I don't know the jeepney routes, walking is the reason why I became more familiar with the places and roads. As in seryoso 'to, may instant connection kami ng kalsada. Wala 'yung pakiramdam na nawawala kami kahit di namin alam kung tamang direksyon ba 'yung nilalakaran. Hahahahaha.
